Freetown, Sierra Leone — 5th October 2026
The Leading Flagbearer Aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC), Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, continued his development initiatives throughout September with the delivery of solar streetlights, motorbikes and essential equipment to communities and local structures across Sierra Leone.
Among the key interventions was a major development support package for Kono District, comprising 90 solar streetlights for the district, 10 additional solar streetlights for learning institutions, 9 motorbikes for Constituency Youth Leaders, 32 ceiling fans, 5 indoor air-conditioning units and 1 complete public address system.
The deliveries also included 120 solar streetlights for Kenema City and four motorbikes presented to APC chairmen in Mile 91, providing practical support for infrastructure, mobility, community activities and local operations.
These September interventions form part of a broader programme of community-focused initiatives, reflecting an emphasis on tangible projects, grassroots engagement and practical investment in people and communities.
From lighting communities and supporting learning institutions to strengthening mobility and providing essential equipment, the initiatives represent a continued effort to translate development commitments into concrete support—bringing practical interventions closer to the people and communities they are intended to serve.
