Through a purposeful and results-driven engagement in China, the leading flagbearer aspirant for the All Peoples Congress (APC) party,Sheikh Alhaji Chief Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara popularly known as Jagaban, secured two brand-new, custom-made ferries aimed at transforming sea transportation in Sierra Leone. This intervention will enhance maritime safety, reduce travel time, boost tourism, and strengthen economic links between Freetown and the provinces, reflecting his commitment to modern infrastructure and inclusive development.

Jagaban’s China mission also delivered 28 brand-new buses to improve public transportation nationwide. This initiative will ease the daily challenges faced by commuters, improve mobility for workers and students, and promote affordable, efficient mass transit, supporting a more connected and productive Sierra Leone.

In addressing youth unemployment and promoting entrepreneurship, Jagaban facilitated the acquisition of 6,000 motorbikes for young people across the country. This program is expected to create thousands of jobs, enhance last-mile transportation, and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities, underscoring his people-centered approach to economic empowerment.

Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and sustainability, Jagaban secured 3,000 solar-powered streetlights to improve security and nighttime visibility in communities nationwide. This initiative promotes clean energy, safer streets, and environmentally responsible development.

Jagaban’s China engagement further laid the groundwork for a new Industrial Development Zone to drive industrialization and economic diversification. Key projects include a water factory in Masiaka, a mega gas station and modern poultry facility in Blama, and an oil-palm processing factory in Yele, positioning Sierra Leone on a sustainable path toward job creation and long-term economic growth.
